Ruby Tionenji Ng’ong’ola  

“In order to advocate for a certain issue, evidence is needed to point a challenge. ITPC conducts research to have valid and truthful data on the day to day challenges faced by recipients of care during this era of COVID-19.”

Ruby manages the Citizen Science Life Maps Project LMP in Malawi and South Africa. She is responsible for LMP data collection, management, analysis and dissemination of results. From time to time she liaises with the LM team to ensure the project deliverables are met. Ruby provides coordination expertise in both countries making sure the goals of the project are meant in an effective, efficient and timely manner.

Ruby has over 15 years’ experience in Project Management and over 7 years’ experience in leading research studies including HIV studies with an emphasis on qualitative research. Prior to joining ITPC, Ruby worked with Lions Sight First Eye Hospital, College of Medicine and Ideas 42.

Ruby holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Malawi, Chancellor College and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from College of Medicine, University Malawi.
