WATCH: Can Global Public Investing replace aid financing?

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, proposals for how to restructure global governance have been gaining traction. One of those is Global Public Investment or GPI, which is increasingly seen as a plausible paradigm shift for the traditional aid system. But could GPI really replace aid financing? And what would it take?

These were some of the questions arising when I sat down with Jonathan Glennie, co-founder of the Global Nation think tank and author of “The Future of Aid: Global Public Investment”, to do this interview with Heba Aly, host of the Rethinking Humanitarianism podcast.
