Nompumelelo (Mpumi) Gumede is a development professional with over 20 years of experience in program and project management, corporate governance and community development.  Her areas of expertise include participatory methodologies, research, monitoring and evaluation, enterprise development, women and youth empowerment and business development. Mpumi has worked in South African government departments, state owned entities, as well as universities.  She has supported non-governmental organizations and community based organizations on public employment programs that were rolled out by the South African government. Currently, Mpumi is an independent consultant, supporting small, medium and micro-sized enterprises and cooperatives in project development and management, capacity building and resource mobilization.
